Economy Adds 195,000 Jobs In June

The nation's economy added 195-thousand jobs last month.  The latest numbers out this morning from the Labor Department show the unemployment rate is still stuck at seven-point-six-percent.  The jobless rate hasn't changed much since February.  Jobs grew in leisure and hospitality, profession and business services, retail trade, health care, and financial activities.  The gain of 195-thousand jobs is an improvement over May, when the economy added 176-thousand jobs.  It's also better than most analysts had been expecting.
